CHAC

Most legal restrictions have been lifted and our services are returning to normal. However we are still working on an appointment only system for advice at the moment. To make your in-house appointment please ring:

01642 254544
Between 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday

You can also visit our office to make your appointment during the above times.  Telephone advice also remains available. Whilst not required we would ask that, if you can, you wear a face covering and use hand sanitizer (both can be provided) during your visit. Please see our COVID-19 page for more information on CHAC's precautions relating to Covid-19.

We have opened a new advice hub in South Bank located in the Tees Valley Women's Centre. To book an appointment please ring 01642 254544.

CHAC's COVID-19 Precautions

CHAC takes the safety of all our staff and everyone who visits us very seriously so we have taken steps to ensure that CHAC is as safe as possible now that the office is open and most legal restrictions have been lifted. On this page we outline the steps we have taken and what we will be asking you to do when you visit us for the safety of everyone. The key points and requirements are bullet pointed below:

  • We are operating an appointment only system, if you do not have an appointment you will not be able to get advice
  • Whilst it is not required we would ask that if you can you wear a face covering (we can provide these) and also that you santise your hands on entry to the office
  • Where possible please attend your appointment alone, if you have to bring someone with you please bring only one other person
  • We would ask that you still try and maintain a 1m social distancing from our staff where possible
  • We will try and only allow one person into the office at a time. If you arrive early you may not be allowed into the office until just before your appointment time to help avoid overcrowding and aid social distancing
  • Please be aware our staff may be wearing face coverings, we appreciate this may be intimidating but it's for everyone's safety, your own as well as ours

Please bear with us during this transitional period. We are doing our best to continue to provide our services to you as safely as possible during this next phase of the pandemic. If you have any other concerns regarding visiting CHAC either before, during or after your visit please do get in touch and we will do our best to address them. Our main priority is the safety of everyone.
